| 英文描述 | A disease of turkeys and chickens affecting only the deep pectoral muscle (unilaterally or bilaterally). The lesion is one of ischemic necrosis with vascular thrombosis and aneurysm formation around the area of necrotic muscle tissue. Early stages show edematous muscles covered with a gelatinous material, the muscle being red to green in color. Older lesions may show formation of granulation tissue. There is no known method of prevention. Since the condition causes no apparent discomfort or disability, detection is usually made on post-mortem or in the processing plant by an uneven appearance or atrophy of the breast muscles. |
